Does Teams replace our email?

For internal discussion yes, for client communication usually not. The practical rule we apply: anything that stays inside the team goes to a channel, anything that leaves the company stays email. That removes most of the noise without letting anything slip through.

How do we stop files ending up everywhere and nowhere?

By deliberately structuring each channel's file storage in SharePoint and agreeing that documents live there, not as attachments in a chat. We put that structure in place at the start, because cleaning it up later costs far more time.

What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams brings chat, video meetings, files and collaboration together in a single workspace. For most Belgian SMEs it is the obvious choice: if you already use Microsoft 365, Teams is part of the licence and costs nothing extra.

Every team automatically gets a SharePoint site for its files, meetings land in Outlook, and documents open straight into Word or Excel without downloading.
